EROSION OF VALUES, A SOCIAL AILMENT!

In our body politic, some bacteria are essential for our survival, and some are detrimental and even take toll of our lives. However, these parasites are chiefly depending on hosts body to survive, and unless measures may be taken in time to get rid of harmful parasites, we have to face the mess accordingly.
Equally, in the society where we are dwelling, we need to take necessary measures for cleansing ourselves to promote a healthy milieu for all to thrive with vigor.
In our society, we all are one or the other way being involved in a production relation and a system, where basically, employers and employees are the two major polarities we experience, and a traditional hostility prevails since time immemorial. Lack of trust is evident between these two, and an external stimulus ignites the confliction often into antagonistic trait.
In an available social fabric, we are living and thriving in a design, which are broadly divided into two separate segments, employers and employees. Both are depending to each other for their growth and progress. Thus, there is a continuous process of synthesis of qualitative and quantitative value system, which is the rudimentary essence of the existence of both.
An employer offers a salary or wages to his employee, keeping in view providing the value to be commensurate with his life support mechanism. Value of any commodity is having two dimensions. One is exchange value, and the other is abstract value. Apparently, an exchange value is evident in terms of the ingredients a consumer can immediately afford by virtue of money, which is necessary for him to suffice.
An abstract one is the producer, who is promoting his labor in order to manufacture a product and, he is no longer aware about the tentative price and allurement his product may produce to people’s mind. On contrary, his employer too is offering the price to negotiate with him, without being affirm about the return from the market he is intending to gain. Supply and demand, scenario of competitions and other various factors eventually determine the selling price of a product.
But, from the employer’s part, there is always lying an intention, precisely in the modern developed world, a humanist approach, ensuring his employee an utmost comfort to thrive with vigor, which is equally an abstract realm. An employer ensures all amenities possible for him to extend towards his employee, so that, he can enjoy a congenial atmosphere to dedicate himself with greater fillip and remain contented and loyal with the organization he is attached to.
In this modern world, an employer is evidently concern that, unless he is offering the package healthy enough for his employee, he cannot get the best output from him and accordingly, the value he offer to his employee, though abstract, but reflects enough of his innovative bent of mind in the perspective of employees growth. By virtue of the employer’s endeavor, we are consistently experiencing a rampant development in terms of acumen of the employees. Human resources are by and large benefited by this pragmatic measure and welfare approaches of the employers.
Yes, the hostility between employers and employees still exist, and more importantly, has gained different magnitude too.
Like the helpful and harmful, both parasites are existing and depending upon the body politic and self-immune system. How to combat the impending disaster is chiefly depending upon some external factors too. For example, the new phenomena of out-sourcing, though in some perspective it is convenient, but on contrary, it can alone invite myriad of complications.
Usually, the vendors, who are being engaged by the employers in order to reduce hassles, ultimately emerge as a severe threat for the employers’ existence. Vendors are primarily focused on seeking only profit and consequently they acted as a tool, showing utter apathy to ensure a palatable environment to the concern human resources to thrive effective and efficiently. There is always a dearth of security of employees and resulting them to be less attached with the concern organization on whose behalf they are discharging their duties. Vendors are not much eager to provide with the pre requisite amenities, comparing to the employers, where employees are their direct subject and discretion.
Another notable feature, which has been cropped up from the part of vendors. While determining the out-sourcing business, engaging vendors from the part of the employers, a certain bureaucrats who are knowing about the nitty-gritty of the company’s out-sourcing policy on behalf of the employers, tend to bid in different name and style to be engaged as an out-sourcing vendor, where conflict of interests is evident, resulting to engender an ambiance where welfare of the employees are largely being ignored. So the matrix of out-sourcing resulted number of impediments correspond to the impurities being percolated to an available social fabric, giving birth to an unhealthy milieu, and often generate unrest to the society.
Some distortion in behavioral pattern resulting to decay in social and cultural milieu is also the impact of the out-sourcing mechanism. Sometimes almost paralyzing the relationship between employers and employees. Taking advantage of this milieu, the external stimuli are become active, causing mayhem to the productive structure and adversely affect the country’s economy.
So the abstract value system and mechanism needed to be overhauled to bring harmony and peace to the available social and cultural fabric, and here lies the paramountcy of relationship between employers and employees. It is an urgent need to ensure a healthy environment from the part of the corporate world, where employers and employees equation needed to be revamped. Trust and amity should be the required yardstick only to gauge the prosperity, not mere for just an organization, but, for the development for any nation.
