"HAPPINESS", A concept being crafted by the consumerism driven market economy, which is bound to be fragile, as to seek more profit, there is always an inner contradiction, being emanated with in this concept,triggering one for ambush marketing. Today,a person is happy, as long he earn profits, which gives him a joy and instigate to earn more profits to earn more joy or happiness. At the same time a sense of jittery always drives him, that if he fail to attain the expected profit he is craving for, what will be the pitfall? How he will suffice with the odds? He visualizes a scene of horror, and thus foil the state of happiness he is enjoying in his present state. He religiously practice to satiate his sense of "HAPPINESS". Thus, being captivated by his own profit making design, like a common ritual, clouded him, making "HAPPINESS", a distant goal, almost unattainable to him!
I knew a person, who once in a social gathering, being intoxicated, leaned on a lady indecently with a deliberate intention. Out of lust he revealed his behavior in such a fashion. The lady equally retorted furiously,"Mr.X, you are drunk?" The arrogant man replied,"Yes, and you are an ugly lady. Tomorrow morning I will be fine, but you will be still ugly there." I did not know, what happened to Mr.X, on the very next morning after he committed such indecent incident. How he could be fine if he possess an iota of conscience? Thus the ingredients of unhappiness always brewing inside us, owing to greed, lust, and materialistic affairs, which usually, and unfortunately, we are guided by.
Rather, I have seen happiness among the visually challenged, physically challenged, and even mentally challenged people, who are basically not indoctrinated with profit making frenzy motivation.We have termed them as "challenged", but actually it is our challenge, how we buy happiness. we are truly clouded with immense doubt, that, what actually "HAPPINESS" is!
In our country India, recently we observed, crores of money being spent from state exchequer to popularize "YOGA", a tool, being considered as the most effective one to bring happiness to the majority. How, it is a mistry to me, because numerous people made money by selling the ideas of 'YOGA" or 'MEDITATION", and numerous organizations are proliferated, patronized by state, and created a healthy market, knowing about the immense demand of "HAPPINESS" and poor people will surely allured by this riddles of "HAPPINESS". People are rushing after it like frenzy, as if, happiness is the only fundamental element to survive, not food, shelter, employment, or education. As if "YOGA" alone can mitigate all problems magically, an elixir, we only craving for! Again, I sadly notice the fragile trend of market, always resorting to various innovative techniques, only with a desire to make profits for few. And, most interestingly, it is the people, who are being targeted to make profits, and a limited amount of people, successfully marketed and gained huge profits out of "HAPPINESS", forcing majority to fall in to their ploy, thus, beckon unhappiness as a close companion, perpetually.
On contrary, I have seen innumerable happy people, thronged in temple, church or mosque, with their respected religious faith. Though they appeared ordinary, but displayed the state of happiness extraordinarily, brimming with enthusiasm, enduring the crowed with perspiration, but instilling the sense of true happiness with inspiration!, which cannot be equated in terms of money and mundane wealth, as they are in a mindset to offer their tribute to the omnipotent God and find solace. Not at all feeding themselves to the demand of the market, but the demand of their inner voice, which is the bliss, they alone enjoy!
Our modern life style, where time is the only tyrant, dictating us and largely controlling us, giving us no space to enjoy it leisurely, engaging ourselves with a hectic schedule, where we cannot even afford time to cook our foods too. We tend to purchase fast foods to save time as well, to satiate our taste buds, resulting us to develop with gastrointestinal and other ailments, which eventually steal our mental peace, thus unhappiness gradually curve a room on us, and pharmaceutical companies euphoria increases, keeping them in delight to participate in an unhealthy competitions among themselves, that is to make profit only, out of peoples predicament!
HAPPINESS,is a mental state, which actually instigate us to compare one's physical or economical state with other, and finding one in better position, comparing to other makes him happy, and if he find, he is possessing lesser amount of wealth or his standard is economically lower than that of the others, it makes him unhappy. It is having no connection with sadness. Only can align one with a sense of "ENVY", a reason of all distress, primarily designed by the society where we are living, paving the way for our own downfall.
So, virtually profit is having resemblance with some living beings in this planet, having a unique feature on them, where the guest animal is not aware of a host animal, surviving on it, and owing to metabolism of the guest animal, it used to produce a toxin, posing severe threat, as well, taking toll of the lives of the host, and this predicament being engendered towards the host life unintentionally. Thus, the alacrity for profit, not only ignite people with exquisite innovations to hasten the progress of generation of revenues, but also the toxicity of "ENVY", percolates the entire society, inducing people to induct in a state of unrest, thus, inciting them to kill the goose, who is laying golden eggs, for more profit, greed, and lucre, an unhealthy network, reason of all "UNHAPPINESS".
Always, there is a disruption, replacing one organization with the other, by virtue of new format of production and generating new modules of making profits, briskly, and accordingly, we observe number of companies are nowadays literally extincted from the list of FORTUNE 500 companies. Still the organizations are helplessly striving to attain such state of "UNHAPPINESS". The consequence , they are incapable to get rid of, and perhaps, virtually gave birth to a new terminology, "ORGANIZATIONALLY CHALLENGED" or,"PROFITABILITY CHALLENGED", a terminology, we yet to assimilate!
So, happiness cannot be gained, if we are focused on profit, opulence, mundane luxury and comfort, and alacrity for garnering wealth, more than the possession of others, which we usually tend to translate to define happiness, only aiming to satiate our senses, which are largely dominated by the external conditions in an available social fabric we are living, designed and crafted by the society itself!
We love to stay happy internally, which can be aligned only with eternal flavor, for humanity, for love, for mankind. Not for market, profit, advertisements, and an illusion of mundane comfort and luxury, which are true disruption to PEACE, SANCTITY, AND SANITY.
